These complex, often engineering based controversies, are one of Mr. Levin’s most enjoyable mediation challenges. For a number of years, he handled cases in which the parties flew him from Houston to the west coast in order to mediate patent related disputes, sometimes holding over for two or three days. While he is not an engineer, he enjoys studying and analyzing the technical aspects particularly related to patents, trademarks, trade dress, etc.
